Join us for an interactive workshop that will introduce FEMA’s Incident Command System (ICS), a protocol designed to help organizations of all shapes and sizes work together to prepare for, prevent, and recover from disasters of all kinds. In this 4 hour workshop, we will learn about the basics of ICS before we attempt to evacuate an archival collection using ICS protocol. After the exercise is complete, there will be ample time for debriefing and discussion of our own disaster preparedness plans. This workshop will be facilitated by Sarah Miller, Northeast and East Central Region Director of the Florida Public Archaeology.
Attendance is limited to 25 participants. Pre-registration required. For more information and to register, visit the event page. [Note: This MUST be paid for separate from annual meeting registration fees]
