In lieu of Friday news, we're going to highlight ALL. THE. THINGS. about the 2018 Annual Meeting. The early bird prices will expire in 17 days so we want to make sure you know what you'd be missing out on! Get your hotel room and register now to make sure you don't miss out on all the fun.
Our pre-conference workshops need some love! If we don't get more registrants by April 8 (a day earlier), these will be cancelled so be sure to get your seat ASAP!
The two conferences are great professional development opportunities for both ends of the archival spectrum - one more traditional and one more digital:
- Disaster Preparedness and Response Workshop will include a wet materials hands-on component (I'm not saying you'll need a swimsuit but...you may get wet)
- The SAA DAS course will cover how to get your born-digital archives off the ground and get your stakeholders invested in making it a success.
We'll also (very soon) have exciting news about our new Walking Sessions on Friday which will give you the chance to go behind the scenes at cultural heritage sites all over Tallahassee. We hope this gives our colleagues a chance to show off their work in action and give us all new ideas to take home for our own institutions.
In the meantime, check out this list of things to see, do and eat
(because really, where you're eating is the most important thing to figure out, let's be honest) while you're in the capital city.
