Happy Friday! It's been a slow news week, but that's okay - it gives us all more time to work on our joint meeting proposals, which are now due on July 15th.

From the State

Suwannee, FL: The Florida Folk Festival starts today and Florida Memory has some great photos and recordings of previous festivals, like this one of the City of Dunedin Pipe Band.

From the Country

Washington, D.C.: The Sally K. Ride Papers are officially open for research at the National Air and Space Museum.

May 25th was the 90th anniversary of the Public Buildings Act, which paved the way to the National Archives.

International Archives Day is coming up on June 9th. How do you plan to celebrate?
