Miami, FL: In a bit of historic preservation news, Miami Dade College will restore the David Dyer Federal Building for public use.

Jamestown, KY: The National Comedy Center has recently acquired comedian George Carlin's collection. The collection includes scrapbooks, annotated set lists, and hours upon hours of video and audio recordings, much of which has never been released. 

Los Angeles, CA: Barbara Morgan's collection of dance photography has been donated to the UCLA Special Collections.

Washington, D.C.: Arhoolie Records has been acquired by Smithsonian Folkways. Over 350 albums featuring blues, jazz, zydeco, Cajun, Mexican-American, and world music will be available through Folkways.
