Call For Session Proposals!
Tennessee Association of Museums, Tennessee Preservation Trust, and the Society of Tennessee Archivists /SAC Deadline OCTOBER 30, 2015
Conference Theme: "Three-Part Harmony: Interpretation, Preservation, Inspiration"
The deadline for session proposals is sneaking up. Do you have a program or project that others would benefit knowing about, the good and the bad of it? Have you created unique partnerships with other groups or organizations?
The Tennessee Association of Museums is joining forces with the Society of Tennessee Archivists (STA) and the Tennessee Preservation Trust (TPT) at the Inn at Opryland in Nashville for a special joint conference March 16-18, 2016.
The conference theme is "Three-Part Harmony: Interpretation, Preservation, Inspiration," and we're looking for session proposals that build on that theme. We're looking for panel discussions, round tables, single or multiple speakers- the session format is flexible. And all subjects that museums encounter are encouraged - education, preservation, marketing, technology, fundraising, and interpretation- the list is endless!
Effective session proposals often include sharing inspirational stories, demonstrating tried-and-true tips of the trade, and/or explaining new approaches to preserving and interpreting the history, heritage, and culture of our great state. Most sessions will last one hour and will consist of three 15-minute presentations followed by 15 minutes of discussion. Presentations are grouped together based on similarity and at the discretion of the program committee.
Please indicate in your proposal description how many presenters there will be in your session and time needed if applicable. Please be prepared to include contact information for your session participants as part of your proposal.
Deadline for session proposals is October 30, 2015.
